College Blonde Soccer Twins Go Viral on Media Day (1:01)

Rory McIlroy is one of the world's best golfers, and that level of greatness takes a level of focus that borders on obsessiveness.

It's clear that McIlroy eats, breathes and sleeps golf, and that was no more evident than in a recent meeting with one of the most famous actors on the planet.

During a trip to the driving range, McIlroy hit balls next to actor Tom Holland - star of Spider-Man and several other popular films - and if he knew who Holland was, he certainly played it cool.

As Holland introduced himself - simply as "Tom," McIlroy shook the actor's hand before the two went back to their practice sessions.

Holland was on hand for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am in England, and he wasn't the only famous face to make an appearance on the course in Surrey.

Retired soccer star Gareth Bale - an avid golfer, at times to the point of controversy during his playing career - and tennis legend Andy Murray were among the other celebrities to take part.

Holland is an accomplished golfer, sporting an impressive 2.9 handicap. He competed in a foursome that includes his brothers Harry and Sam, as well as Olympic silver medalist Tommy Fleetwood.

The actor's handicap was one of the more impressive among the amateurs at the event, with Bale himself coming in as a scratch golfer.

"I couldn't really feel my arms and legs," Murray said after competing in his first-ever Pro-Am event following his retirement from tennis.

"I was feeling it. But it got better as the round went on. It's a different sort of nerves, because you are comfortable in the tennis environment. I'm not thinking I'm going to walk out on the tennis court and forget how to hit the ball."

Fleetwood and the Hollands won the event with a combined score of 31-under par.

After his performance, we'll see if McIlroy is aware of Holland, either as an actor or a golfer.
