The 2028 Olympics is getting a new sport in flag football and it has a lot of fans super excited.
Team USA would be stacked considering how many players it has playing in the NFL. Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray would love to play at the Olympics but knows that there are quarterbacks ahead of him in the pecking order for Team USA.
Still, he's open to competing against Team USA because he is one-quarter Korean. Because of that, he's open to playing for South Korea on the world stage.
"That'd be awesome. That'd be an awesome experience if they asked me to do it. I'd have to take it into consideration. I don't know how the schedule works but I think that'd be a great experience," Murray said in a TikTok video.
Seeing Murray play for South Korea would be awesome since he'd be trying to lead the country to a medal in the event. He'd also easily be the starting quarterback and not have to worry about Team USA since Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, and Joe Burrow will all be jockeying for playing time.
A lot of NFL players have expressed interest in playing in the flag football competition in four years, including Burrow and Mahomes. Even though it's not tackle football, it's still competitive football and a ton of fans will tune in to see the best players in the world play.
The 2028 Summer Olympics will take place in Los Angeles, California.
