
President Trump Reacts To Death Of Boxing Legend George Foreman

Just like countless sports fans around the country, President Donald Trump is saddend by the death of legendary boxer George Foreman.
Foreman, 76, fought a plethora of big names over the course of his career, including Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. His bout with Ali was referred to as "The Rumble in the Jungle."
Back in 1968, Foreman won a gold medal at the Mexico City Olympics. Five years later, he won his first heavyweight championship. He left the ring behind with an incredible record of 76-5.
"Our hearts are broken. With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved George Edward Foreman Sr. who peacefully departed on March 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones," Foreman's family said in a statement. "A devout preacher, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grand and great grandfather, he lived a life marked by unwavering faith, humility, and purpose."
On Saturday morning, Trump went on social media to offer his thoughts on "Big George" and his incredible legacy.
"George Foreman is dead," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "What a GREAT FIGHTER!!! He had, without question, the heaviest and biggest punch in the history of boxing. With the exception of Ali, when you got hit, you went down. He was something really Special, but above all, he was a Great Person, with a personality that was bigger than life. I knew him well, and he will be missed. Warmest condolences to his wonderful family!!!"
That's a classy statement from the president of the United States.
Foreman was inducted into the World Boxing Hall of Fame and International Boxing Hall of Fame just six years after his retirement.
There's no question Foreman's legacy will live on for years to come.
