The world's eyes were on Paris last summer during the Olympics, as fans watched the best athletes from around the globe compete for glory and national pride.
Winning a medal is often the crowning achievement of any athlete's career, and it's an accomplishment that those athletes train to achieve for most of their lives.
One medalist from last year's Games has put their medal up for auction, and soon any fan with enough money to put up a bid will have a chance to pick up a medal of their own.
According to TMZ Sports, a bronze medal from last year's Olympics is up for sale at RR Auction. It's unclear who the medal belonged to or what country they were from, but the medal was awarded during one of the women's wrestling events.
Bidding for the medal is open through January 16, and the current mark is over $22,000. Experts believe it will eventually sell for more than $30,000.
The medal comes compete with the silk ribbon given during the medal ceremony, when they're placed around the neck of the winners.
Several other pieces of Olympic artifacts and memorabilia are being sold as part of the auction. Items up for sale include past torches, medals, badges, diplomas and more.
The items span more than 100 years of Olympic history, adding items from as far back as the 1870 Games in Athens.
Fans won't be able to watch the Olympic Games this year, but the Winter Olympics are right around the corner in 2026. The games will come from Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy, making them the fourth Olympic games to be held in the country.
The 2028 summer Olympics will be held in Los Angeles, more than 40 years after the last Summer Olympics in LA. Fans will be able to see the best athletes in the world at venues like SoFi Stadium (home of the Los Angeles Rams and Chargers) and the Intuit Dome (the new home of the Los Angeles Clippers.
We'll see what surprises are in store there and in 2026, but for now, fans who are still in the Olympic spirit can put a bid in for the medal, provided they have at least $22,000 lying around.
