NFL Fans Saddened By Death Of Team Mascot On Tuesday

The Cleveland Browns shared some unfortunate news Tuesday morning. The franchise's mascot, Swagger Jr., passed away.
Swagger, or SJ, a bullmastiff, was five years old. He succeeded his father, Swagger, as the Browns' official mascot in 2019.
"We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved mascot, SJ," the Browns tweeted. "We are so grateful for his many years of loyal support and cherish all of the wonderful memories he helped create for fans young and old."
Tributes to the Very Good Boy have been pouring in on social media.
"We've lost a legend. He was a good boy. R.I.P., Swagger Jr.," said analyst Andrew Siciliano, who included a photo of himself with the beloved dog.
"RIP Swagger Jr. You will be remembered fondly Muni and Stripes— time to fulfill your destiny and carry on the legacy. #Browns," one fan wrote.
"Browns winning the Super Bowl in SJ's honor. If you need a new mascot, Tubby can take on the responsibility #DawgCheck," a second fan said.
"Not a good day :/ RIP SJ," a third fan added.
"Don't mind me crying," a fourth fan chimed in.
Swagger Jr. has offspring, so it is possible one of them can take his place for the upcoming 2024 season.
In the meantime, our hears go out to Browns fans. All dogs go to heaven.
