Has Colin Kaepernick been signed by the Miami Dolphins? No, he has not.

Rumors have swirled on social media about the Dolphins signing the former NFL quarterback following the injury to starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. But that hasn't happened - yet, anyway. Tagovailoa, the former first round NFL Draft pick out of Alabama, suffered the fifth concussion of his career last Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills. Many are now wondering if Tagovailoa will choose to retire. While that seems unlikely, he's probably going to be out for a couple of weeks, if not longer. The Dolphins say that they'll be going with Skylar Thompson at quarterback, though NFL fans aren't too thrilled with that option.

Some NFL fans are now pushing for a Kaepernick signing.

Some NFL fans have taken to social media to push for the Dolphins to sign Kaepernick, who last played in the league in 2016, when he began kneeling for the national anthem.

"With Tua Turndaballova suffering yet another concussion, the Miami Dolphins ought to consider signing NFL veteran Colin Kaepernick. At the ripe age of 36, the QB is a proven winner that can make a huge impact on the Dolphins," one fan wrote.

"Colin Kaepernick you're a dolphin," one fan added.

"I'm convinced the Dolphins would look better with Cam Newton, Tim Tebow, or Colin Kaepernick rather than Skylar Thompson," one fan added.

"Thinking about the Tyreek Hill arrest being a set up for the Dolphins to sign Colin Kaepernick," one fan added.

"Dolphins should sign Kaepernick," another fan wrote.

Kaepernick said over the summer at the Paris Olympics that he's still hopeful for a signing.

"We've just got to get one of these team owners to open up," Kaepernick said. "It's something I've trained my whole life for, so to be able to step back on the field, I think that would be a major moment, a major accomplishment for me. I think I could bring a lot to a team and help them win a championship."

It would be shocking if it happens, of course, but NFL fans are still pushing for it.
