It may have taken a little bit longer than we all expected but in the end there wasn't much room for doubt. NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace is staying with 23XI Racing.

On Wednesday, the racing team owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan announced that Wallace has re-signed a multi-year deal with the team and will continue racing for 23XI for the foreseeable future. His deal with the team had been up and the end of this year and there was a bit of speculation that 23XI Racing might not get a deal done amid a slew of other issues they're dealing with.

"From day one Bubba has been an integral part of 23XI. We're excited to announce that he has signed a multi-year renewal and will continue to play a key role in helping 23XI grow and succeed. #ForwardTogether," the team wrote.

Wallace has been the face of 23XI Racing from the get-go. He delivered the first NASCAR Cup Series race win to the team in 2021, winning the 2021 YellaWood 500 at Talladega.

Fans are excited to see Wallace back with the team, with many projecting great success for the two partners moving forward.

"LETS GO! Getting better and better every season, multiple wins next year for sure. This is great news!" one user replied.

"Honestly, it wouldn't be 23XI without him. When I think 23XI Racing, I think Bubba Wallace. Congrats to the company and driver!" wrote another.

"Great news. This team is getting better each year. Hoping to see that 23 back in victory lane in 2025!" a third wrote.

Wallace narrowly missed the NASCAR Cup playoffs this year after finishing 10th in 2023 while teammate Tyler Reddick won the regular season title and is still vying for a first title.
