The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season is over, but the sport's drivers aren't done making headlines.

The South Carolina 400 was held at the Florence Motor Speedway on Saturday evening. During the race, a fight broke out between a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver and another competitor.

Conner Jones, an 18-year-old NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, ended up wrecking out of Saturday night's race. He was clearly not happy with what happened, so he ended up throwing hands with Mason Diaz.

On3 had more on the fight:

Even in the CARS Tour and late model races, Jones has had incidents. He gets in over his head, gets upset, makes hasty moves. During the South Carolina 400, Diaz and Jones traded paint. Then they were both caught up in the big one.

That's when fists started flying. Conner Jones and Mason Diaz were scrapping it out on the ground. When both got up, Jones still had his helmet on his head.

It got ugly.

Diaz, speaking to Matt Weaver of Sportsnaut and Short Track Scene, did not hold back.

"What more does the kid need? I mean, suspended from NASCAR, the list goes on and on and on. There's not a single person – every single person is probably happy he got into a fight with someone today because everyone wants to do it to him.

"I hate it for him, I don't want to see anyone fight, or anyone be talked bad about. I want to see everyone do well. Um, I don't know. I don't know what that kid needs to fix it."

It'll be interesting to see how NASCAR responds. Clearly, the 18-year-old driver could be facing a stiff punishment.
