The Minnesota Vikings are one of the NFL's last remaining unbeaten teams at 4-0. They're heading to London this weekend to play the New York Jets, but one offensive player won't be joining them.

The team signed tight end Robert Tonyan from the practice squad on Thursday, and in a corresponding move, they released running back Myles Gaskin.

Gaskin, a former standout at Washington, has played for four NFL teams.

He entered the league in 2019 as a seventh-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins, spending his first four seasons with the organization. Gaskin had his best season to date in 2021, rushing for 612 yards and three touchdowns while also catching four touchdown passes.

Since the 2022 season, he's seen sporadic playing time with the Dolphins, Vikings and Rams. Gaskin rejoined the Vikings this season after spending time in Minnesota and Los Angeles in 2023.

The Vikings are looking for their first 5-0 start since 2016, but they're hoping that this season has a better ending. That year's team faltered down the stretch, ending the season at 8-8 and missing the playoffs.

The 2009 Vikings also started 5-0, making it to the conference championship before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

This year's Vikings team has been led by a resurgent Sam Darnold, taking over at quarterback after rookie J.J. McCarthy suffered a pre-season injury.

Darnold has been one of the league's best stories through the first month of the season, shining in a starring role after several difficult seasons in Carolina and New York.

Darnold will have the chance to defeat his former team this Sunday when the Vikings meet the Jets in London. New York is entering at 2-2 after a frustrating loss to the Denver Broncos, and they'll hope Aaron Rodgers can get the better of an old foe once again.

In 29 career games against the Vikings, Rodgers has thrown for 57 touchdowns and only eight interceptions. This will be his first time facing them as a Jet, following his many years in the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers.

We'll see if the Vikings can move to 5-0 with a win over the Jets on Sunday. The game can be seen on the NFL Network at 9:30 AM ET, live from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
