Stefon Diggs is back in the AFC East for the next three seasons after signing a three-year $69 million deal with the New England Patriots on March 25.

The deal includes $26 million guaranteed and comes only days after he visited with the team. He will get to go against one of his former teams, the Buffalo Bills, twice a year for the next three seasons.

He got quite the payday from the Patriots even though he tore his ACL halfway through the 2024 season while he was a member of the Houston Texans. He finished the season with 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns.

Diggs is expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2025 season and Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel can't wait to utilize him in different ways on the field. He has always appreciated Diggs's playstyle during his career.

"He's got a play-strength to him that you see that you can play physical. Route craft, (is) good at the catch point, (and) has been good in the red zone. There's a play-style to him that I've always appreciated and that we want to continue to enhance and make sure that he's doing things to help us," Vrabel said on "Green Light with Chris Long," (first transcribed by ProFootballTalk).

Diggs started his career with the Minnesota Vikings and was with them for five seasons (2015-19) before spending the next four seasons (2020-23) with the Buffalo Bills. He was then traded to the Houston Texans during the 2024 offseason.

He has compiled six 1,000-yard seasons during his 10-year career, his best coming in 2020 as a member of the Bills. He finished that season with 127 receptions for 1,535 yards and eight touchdowns.

The Patriots hope he can be quarterback Drake Maye's go-to receiver in any situation over the next three seasons.
