Mike Greenberg Is Officially Being Replaced On ESPN Radio
01/14/2025 12:30 PM
For the better part of five years, ESPN's Mike Greenberg has done a two-hour radio show for the network. But now his show appears to be getting replaced.
According to Front Office Sports, Greenberg's Greeny show, which airs between 10-12 noon ET on weekdays, is going to be replaced by Clinton & Friends in the same time slot. Clinton & Friends will star Clinton Yates, who longtime ESPN viewers will know from his many years of appearing on Around the Horn.
It currently runs on ESPN LA 710 but is now primed to go national. Per the report, the new show will begin sometime after Super Bowl LIX.
The cancellation of Greenberg's show should be no indication that ESPN has any problems with Greenberg or his content. If anything it's more likely the other way around as Greenberg has seldom appeared on his own show for long stretches of the past few years.

Front Office Sports pulled the data and found that Greenberg was becoming a downright rarity on his own show between 2022 and 2023. He did just seven of 61 shows during the summer of 2022 and appeared on only 35-percent of his shows that year.
The summer of 2023 saw Greenberg host his show seven times in 66 shows.
While you could obviously attribute his lack of appearances to extended vacations (as many have), it seems quite clear that Greenberg didn't love the job enough to pour as much effort into it as he does with Get Up, or with Mike & Mike before that. And if he does, he has a hard time showing it.
Fans on social media don't seem all that disappointed to hear that Greenberg is getting bumped off ESPN radio anyway. Many of the replies range from mocking his lack of time doing the show to not even realizing that he had one.
"I'm trying to think of the last time I got in my car, turned on the radio, and heard a broadcast of "Greeny" that actually included Mike Greenberg," one user replied to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.
But for the most part, fans were simply happy to see Yates getting his shot in the national radio spotlight:
"Good thing happening to a great dude. Congratulations (Clinton Yates)," another remarked.
"Overwhelmingly good and long overdue move. @clintonyates has been one of the best things going at ESPN for a while now," wrote a third.
