Meet The World's Hottest Track Star (1:04)

Alica Schmidt had one of the best years of her track and field career in 2024, but she has to keep pushing forward.

In July, the German athlete made her Olympic debut in Paris as part of the country's 4x400 relay team. Her unit didn't qualify for the finals of the event, but that didn't stop Schmidt from declaring the experience an overall success.

"The Olympics are not just about winning medals. It's about being alongside inspiring athletes while competing at the highest level," Schmidt wrote on Instagram at the time. "Showing ambition, celebrating diversity and people no matter who they are and where they are from.

"The past weeks were an emotional rollercoaster and I was able to learn a lot. As an athlete I am still not where I want to be and maybe I will never be. But the one thing that is for sure: I will never stop trying and figuring out ways to improve. I love taking you guys with me on this journey and hope to inspire young athletes and show how amazing this sport can be!"

After returning from Paris, Schmidt took some time to herself, going around the world on vacation. Whatever country she visited, she shared content from her journey with her more than 5.7 million Instagram followers.

Now, it's time for Schmidt to lock back in for 2025. She's resumed her training now for several weeks, posting pictures and workout clips on social media.

In her latest set of photos on Instagram, Schmidt turned heads in a white track top showing off her abs and tight, lavender bottoms that almost resembled briefs.

"Late night lactic sessions ✨ actually today was one of the hardest workouts ever, I couldn't manage to stand up for 30min 🫠 but that's part of the game and I can't wait for the next one on Saturday🫡 Ps: showing off my tattoo for the first time 🤭#trackandfield#running#runner#gettingstronger," Schmidt captioned the post

Schmidt's followers immediately took to her comments section to express their appreciation.

"Always working hard🥵💪🏾👏🏾," one person wrote.

"In love with this tattoo 😍😍😍," a Schmidt fan account said.

"Hard work pays off! Your dedication and determination is an inspiration to us all. Keep it up, we want to see you achieve more and more! ❤️‍🔥🚀," another Schmidt fan account wrote.

"My favorite athlete," someone else chimed in.

"Super Boss 👏," a fifth person said.

We'll see what this year has in store for Schmidt on the track. Down the road, it would be awesome if she can make it to America for the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
