When it was announced that ESPN's College GameDay would be heading to Cal, many fans hoped that former Golden Bears running back Marshawn Lynch would make an appearance.

Lynch was announced as the special guest picker, and those fans began to hold out hope that he would reference an infamous moment from his college career.

After an overtime win against Washington, Lynch took the injury cart for a spin around the stadium as fans celebrated. He made a similar entrance to GameDay on Saturday, pulling up to the show on the same cart that he drove in college.

Lynch and ESPN's Jess Sims rode around the crowd in Berkeley, passing out packs of Lynch's favorite candy, Skittles.

It was a fun time for the crowd at Cal ahead of their first big ACC matchup on Saturday. The Golden Bears are welcoming No. 8 Miami to town after the Hurricanes' dramatic and controversial win over Virginia Tech last week.

Cal is currently 3-1, an impressive start to the season as they navigate a new conference. With a win on Saturday, the Golden Bears can earn their first-ever ACC victory.

They were unsuccessful in their first attempt, losing to a struggling Florida State team on the road.

Defeating Miami will be a tall task for Cal, especially with Heisman contender Cam Ward at quarterback for the visitors. Ward has been one of the best quarterbacks in the country this season, throwing for 18 touchdowns and only four interceptions.

Miami is 5-0 for the first time since 2017, and they're currently among the favorites to win the ACC and represent the conference as champions in the College Football Playoff.

The Hurricanes have the better team on paper, but they'll need to adjust to an uncharacteristically late start to Saturday's game.

Miami will kick off against Cal at 10:30 PM ET, a time that will certainly be an adjustment for the team traveling west. We'll see how each team handles the game when they meet on Saturday night in Berkeley.
