Lindsey Vonn is making a comeback and she's excited to be doing it.
The legendary U.S. Olympian, who is returning to the national skiing team, announced the news of her comeback earlier this year. Vonn, 40, is coming off major knee surgery, but she's confident that she can get back to a competitive level on the slopes - and maybe even compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Vonn, a three-time Olympic medalist, has done a lot for the sport, both on and off of the mountain.
While she's dominated on the mountain, she's become a celebrity off of it, dating athletes like Tiger Woods and P.K. Subban. She also appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
Vonn turned heads this week, by posting a throwback photo from her "Body Paint" photoshoot with the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
The legendary U.S. Winter Olympian posed in nothing but "Body Paint" for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Vonn got up very early in the morning and let the SI Swimsuit artists hand paint a "bikini" onto her body. The end result is pretty stunning.
Vonn is one of several notable athletes to join the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue "Body Paint" family.
Over the years, we've seen the likes of Alex Morgan, Ronda Rousey, Caroline Wozniacki and others pose in nothing but "Body Paint" for the special edition of Sports Illustrated.
Even on set I never stopped training...now it's back to work. Excited to race this wknd in Italy! @SI_Swimsuitpic.twitter.com/hhQiLMnUob
