Kylian Mbappe is set to be assessed after being forced off during Real Madrid’s La Liga victory over Alaves on Tuesday with a muscular injury. The 25-year-old forward was replaced after 80 minutes having experienced minor discomfort in his left thigh, with Arda Guler coming on in his place. Madrid confirmed he will undergo tests on Wednesday or Thursday ahead of Sunday’s trip to city rivals Atletico Madrid. Manager Carlo Ancelotti explained Mbappe had requested he be taken off as a precaution. "He’s fine, he’s fine, a little bit (over) loaded,” Ancelotti said.
