Shaquille O'Neal Takes Clear Side In Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark Debate

Despite being a huge fan of Angel Reese, NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal recently called Caitlin Clark "the real deal." That admission shocked plenty of WNBA fans.
O'Neal has been hyping up Reese since her days at LSU. Shortly after he became the new president of basketball operations for Reebok, he signed Reese to an NIL deal. Since agreeing to a deal, the company has created a personalized collection of products for the No. 7 pick from this year's draft.
Even though O'Neal has shown support for both Clark and Reese, he made it abundantly clear that he prefers one over the other.
"Let's not get it twisted," O'Neal said. "I'm Angel all day. WNBA, I'm Angel all day. I don't want people to turn it one way, and then she think I'm turning my back on her."
O'Neal didn't stop there with his taken on the Clark-Reese debate. He revealed which player has the advantage in his opinion.
"Right now, we're up," O'Neal said. "In college, we got the championship, they didn't. So now the storyline could be Indiana's in the playoffs; Chicago didn't make it. There's a whole bunch of storylines that I think make it very interesting, and I think that it's elevated the women's game, but don't make no mistake about it. I'm Angel Reese all day."

It's not really hard to argue "who's up" between Clark and Reese.
If it's about individual success and overall impact on the game, Clark belongs ahead of Reese. There's just no debating that.
Reese had a great rookie season with the Chicago Sky, make no mistake about it. That being said, Clark has shown she can take a franchise from the bottom of the standings to the playoffs in just one year.
