Kyle McCord hasn't forgotten how he was treated on his way out of Columbus last year.

After leading his team to a stunning victory over Cam Ward and the one-loss Miami Hurricanes on the same day that Ohio State was upset by 6-5 Michigan, the former Buckeyes QB was asked if he took any extra satisfaction in Saturday's result.

"Everything comes full circle," McCord said, to laughter at Syracuse's press conference.

The Mount Laurel, NJ native threw for 380 yards and three touchdowns in the Orange's 42-38 win. While his former school struggled to score just 10 points against the Wolverines at home — which included two backbreaking turnovers from Bucks quarterback Will Howard.

When McCord left OSU he called it a "business decision" on both sides.

"I mean you guys know it just as well as I do. At the end of the day, the top level of college football and then especially on to the pros. I mean it's a business, and at the end of the day Ohio State had to make a business decision that they felt like was best for them and I had to do the same thing," McCord told Jordan Palmer and Kyle Allen during an appearance on "The QB Room."

"Unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be for next year but at the end of the day I felt like I put together some solid games and had some good tape. So I was confident when I went in the portal I'd find a good home."

McCord found just that in Upstate New York where he helped guide Syracuse to a 9-3 season after a 6-7 campaign in 2023.

Even better the Orange knocked the Hurricanes out of the ACC title game and potentially the Playoff with their upset win.

Now Cuse will play in its third straight bowl game and its first under head coach Fran Brown.
