Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins has kept quiet through most of the NFL offseason as rumors of his alleged, upcoming trade away from the team continue to spread.

The Falcons have made it pretty clear that they're moving on from him but want to give him a chance to find a new team first. The needle hasn't moved much since then though.

However, yesterday marked the first non-promotional post he made on X since late-February.

Yesterday, a user on X shared a video of Cousins stopping by their local Chipotle. But it wasn't just any Chipotle, it was one in Northeast Ohio - well within distance of the Cleveland Browns' HQ.

After seeing the post, Cousins jokingly replied, "Salad with double chicken never fails me."

While the comment itself was rather benign, his mere presence in Cleveland immediately had people wondering if he's in talks with the Browns over joining their team.

"Would you lift your no trade clause to come to Cleveland ? I'll hang up and listen," one user replied on X.

"I know it may not be in the cards but if you go just one state over… there is a team that could use your talent. Maybe a trip to Pittsburgh?" another remarked.

"I'm going to be honest, I think he's trolling, guys," a third suggested.

"We have a code orange in Cleveland."

"Beast. Love you Kirk."

Cousins lost his starting job with the Falcons near the end of the 2024 NFL season. Rookie Michael Penix Jr. came in to finish the season and performed fairly well down the stretch.

In the early phase of the NFL offseason, the Falcons gave Cousins permission to seek a trade. Whether an NFL team will trade for a quarterback with three years left on a $180 million deal remains to be seen though.
