Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen played only one snap in Sunday's regular season finale, but he still had an impact.

With the Bills having already locked up the AFC East title and No. 2 seed in the conference playoffs, there was no reason for Allen to play against the New England Patriots. He took the first snap to keep his starting streak alive, handing off to James Cook. Mitchell Trubisky then stepped in, with Mike White also seeing action in Buffalo's 23-16 loss.

Allen will be back under center for the wild card playoff game against the Denver Broncos next weekend.

Prior to Sunday's game, Allen took time out of his warmup routine to meet and pose for pictures with military servicemembers who were on the sideline.

It was a cool moment that thankfully captured on video.

Incredibly classy by Allen, who is drawing praise from fans for his actions.

"He is the [king] ! The city and franchise rightfully deserve to have this guy as our QB!" one Bills fan said.

"The reaction of people when they get a small piece of Josh Allen's time is amazing. Great moment!" added WIVB's Josh Reed.

"What an awesome guy. Go Bills!" another Bills fan said.

"My MVP," added a third fan.

"That's my quarterback," a fourth Buffalo fan chimed in.

Allen's incredible performance this season has him potentially in line to win his first MVP award. Lamar Jackson and Saquon Barkley are his main competition.

For the season, Allen finished with 3,731 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and six interceptions, along with 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. He also led the Bills to their fifth-straight AFC East crown.

"I don't know what more else he could do," Bills offensive tackle Spencer Brown said recently about Allen's MVP candidacy. "That's consistency ... he does it with anybody that he gets his hands on. I mean, it's pretty clear-cut for me. And then now people are saying, 'Oh, it's a Charles Barkley MVP.' I'm like, 'Ah, he's the only player to ever do that.' ... It's not up to me. I don't vote. But 17 is the MVP for sure."

Allen and the Bills will find out the date and kickoff time for their first round playoff game against Denver sometime tonight.
