Jim Harbaugh Claims To Remember The Day He Was Born - Seriously

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has done what he always does in his first season in LA: win.
Harbaugh's Chargers went 11-6, a six-game improvement from last season, earning a trip to the playoffs after a one-year hiatus. LA will take on the AFC South champion Houston Texans in the Wild Card round on Saturday afternoon. The Chargers are just the latest organization Harbaugh has immediately turned around, and regardless of the outcome this weekend, the future is bright.
Wherever he has coached, Harbaugh has done things his way, which can be unique. He's a different dude. Look no further than the anecdote quarterback Justin Herbert shared on Tuesday.
Herbert said the moment he realized Harbaugh was different was when the former University of Michigan and San Francisco 49ers head coach told the team he remembers the day he was born.
"He told us the whole story and he remembered looking out the window. And I think it was a cold snowy day. I really hope he does remember that," Herbert said, via Bolt Breakdowns' Alec Insdorf.
Of course, Harbaugh doesn't really remember his actual day of birth. But we honestly wouldn't be surprised if he actually thought he did, meaning this might not just be a motivational tactic on his part.
He might legitimately believe he can recall his earliest moments of life. Other Chargers have discussed this Harbaugh quirk in the past.
As weird as he can be sometimes, you can't argue with Harbaugh's results. He has already changed the culture with the Chargers and it has paid immediate dividends with this first-year playoff berth.
"We're here. Football-wise, we're alive," Harbaugh said this week about the playoffs. "And we want to stay alive. Keep at it."
Kickoff for Chargers-Texans is set for 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday on CBS.
