'Insane' - Australians Are Furious With Swimsuit Getting Banned

Australia is currently in the middle of its summer season, but those Down Under are currently battling a heated swimsuit issue.
For more than a year now, some in Australia have been attempting to get a certain type of swimsuit bottom banned from public swimming areas. Australian politicians have been attempting to get the G-string bikini bottom banned from public swimming areas. They believe that it's inappropriate, especially around children.
The ban is only for G-string bottoms - not all bikini bottoms - but many in Australia are still furious with the decision.
The Blue Mountains Leisure Centres (BMLC), which is a part of the Blue Mountains City Council, announced the decision on a Facebook page. The council wanted to make it clear that bikini bottoms are not banned - only G-strings.
"Much of [the confusion] focused on a poster showing the kind of swimwear that is and isn't appropriate. It's important to remember that these images are indicative only," the post from the Blue Mountains Leisure Centres read.
"In particular, the image of 'revealing swimwear/thongs' has raised some eyebrows. This image refers to thongs and G-strings – not bikini tops and bottoms."
"Thongs and G-string swimwear is not acceptable for males or females when visiting our leisure centres. Bikinis are acceptable and considered recognised swimwear."
Aussies are not happy.
"Let people do what they want ffs seriously..."ban" bikini's.... have these people gone mad?" one fan wrote.
"They won't be happy until all the women are wearing burkas," one fan added.
"And who doesn't love a good Nanny State? Lifeguards giving out tickets. Where is Matilda when we need her?" one fan added.
"Just leave it alone. If women decide to put them on, so be it," one fan added.
"Shouldn't be a debate," one fan added.
"women can wear there g-string and bikinis at the beach it there right to do so push back against this mad tyranny that's un Australian," one fan added.
