Meet Hockey Goalie Mikayla Demaiter (1:01)

The women's ice hockey team for Harvard is trending on social media right before the start of the 2024-25 season.

Earlier this month, first-year forward Ella Lucia shared a video of the team dancing to "Da' Dip" from Freak Nasty. That's become a pretty popular trend on TikTok over the past few weeks.

The video starts off with Zoe Boosamra and Sophie Ensley dancing on the ice. Then, Ella Lucia and Ainsley Tuffy enter the picture and show off their moves.

This video quickly went viral on TikTok, receiving over 280,000 views in a short span. As you'd expect, plenty of people commented on this dance.

For the most part, the Harvard hockey team received nice comments on TiKTok. Of course, some people mocked their rhythm, or lack thereof.

"You'd think going to Harvard they'd be able to communicate a simple dance," one user commented.

Another person said, "I was waiting for a goalie split at the end."

"The hockey pads go hard not gonna lie," another TikTok user wrote.

The women's hockey team for Harvard has a scrimmage on Oct. 5 against Franklin Pierce.

Two weeks later, Harvard will kick off its season against Connecticut. It'll then take on Union and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in back-to-back days.
