Meet Erin Andrews Former NHL Player Husband (1:01)

The 2024 presidential election is less than a month away and many in the sports world are letting people know where they stand.

Longtime NFL sideline reporter Erin Andrews has been among them over the years. The veteran Fox Sports sideline reporter, who is set to cover the Cowboys vs. Lions game on Sunday afternoon, has made it clear where she stands politically. Andrews, 46, wants everyone to know that she's not biased or leaning a certain way when she covers games, speaking to players and coaches and relaying messages to millions of fans across the globe.

Andrews is staying down the middle.

Andrews has made it clear that she won't be giving out any personal political opinions, on broadcasts or in other interviews or forms of media.

"I can't deliver the news that Aaron Rodgers is done for the season without people commenting, 'Oh, she looks like she's so sad.' What am I supposed to do, stand on my head and tell dirty jokes?" Andrews said in 2017, per the New York Post. "So for me to come out and say, 'This is what I believe in politics, this is what I believe about what's going on in the NFL.' Nobody wants to hear that from me."

"I'm not educated in a lot of what is being talked about with politics the way that people on CNN or Fox News [are]," Andrews said. "You shouldn't be listening to that from me."

That's a respectable mindset for Andrews to have, given her position. Others might choose to speak out, but Andrews values her position and her objectivity more.

Andrews will be on the call of the Cowboys vs. Lions game on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff between the two NFC contenders is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. E.T. on Sunday afternoon.
