Meet Erin Andrews Former NHL Player Husband (1:01)

After many years of working on the Today show, Hoda Kotb is set to retire in 2025. During her time at the show he gained a ton of fans - including Fox's Erin Andrews.

Kotb has been with NBC for decades and became a co-anchor of the Today show's fourth hour in 2008 before becoming an overall show co-anchor in 2018. But on Thursday, Kotb announced that she is leaving next year so she can spend more time with her family.

"I realized that it was time for me to turn the page at 60, and to try something new," she said. "I remembered standing outside looking at these beautiful bunch of people with these gorgeous signs, and I thought, 'This is what the top of the wave feels like for me.' And I thought it can't get better, and I decided that this is the right time for me to kind of move on.

"Obviously I had my kiddos late in life, and I was thinking that they deserve a bigger piece of my time pie that I have. I feel like we only have a finite amount of time.

"And so, with all that being said, this is the hardest thing in the world."

Taking to X a short while ago, Andrews had just two words to say to the Today icon:

"Love you," she wrote.

Fans have been congratulating Kotb all day on her remarkable career and have wished her the best in the future.

"Wow! Congrats on your new adventure coming in 2025!!!!!" one user wrote.

"You will be missed! You are the only real person on that variety show! Stay true to yourself and enjoy!" wrote another.

"Wishing you nothing but the best … the one thing you can't get back is time! Enjoy those special moments with your girls …" a third declared.
