Donald Trump Has A Big Job In Mind For NHL Legend Wayne Gretzky

President-elect Donald Trump made headlines on Christmas Day for calling out NHL legend Wayne Gretzky on social media.
Trump, who'll be sworn into office on Jan. 20, revealed that he spoke to Gretzky about potentially becoming the next Prime Minister of Canada. He suggested on Truth Social that he'd love to see the Hall of Famer dethrone Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
"I just left Wayne Gretzky, 'The Great One' as he is known in Ice Hockey circles. I said, 'Wayne, why don't you run for Prime Minister of Canada, soon to be known as the Governor of Canada - You would win easily, you wouldn't even have to campaign.' He had no interest, but I think the people of Canada should start a DRAFT WAYNE GRETZKY Movement," Trump wrote. "It would be so much fun to watch!"
Gretzky has not responded to this social media post from Trump. Most people assumed that he voted for him in November's election since he was spotted at the Mar-a-Lago in Palm Breach, Florida.
It's too early to tell if Gretzky will actually consider running for Prime Minister of Canada.
Trump has been keeping a close eye on Canada the past few weeks. He recently weighed in on Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigning from Trudeau's cabinet.
"The Great State of Canada is stunned as the Finance Minister resigns, or was fired, from her position by Governor Justin Trudeau," Trump said. "Her behavior was totally toxic, and not at all conducive to making deals which are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada. She will not be missed."
Gretzky, 63, is certainly a legend in the world of sports. Does he have what it takes to successfully run a country? Maybe we'll find out in the near future.
