Deion Sanders Warns Colorado Players Ahead Of Saturday's Bowl Games

Deion Sanders will coach Colorado in a bowl game for the first time on Saturday night.
After going 4-8 in his first season in Boulder in 2023, Sanders guided the Buffaloes to a 9-3 mark this fall, the program's best regular season record in eight years. They were rewarded with a trip to the Alamo Bowl, where, in a weird scheduling quirk, they'll take on BYU, a fellow Big 12 school.
In a new "Coach Prime Sights and Sounds" video, Sanders can be seen addressing his team this week upon their arrival in San Antonio. The Pro Football Hall of Famer preached to his team about its dress code and looking presentable throughout the week, making it clear he won't be embarrassed.
"You embarrass us and this university, you will not get a second chance to do it this week. We came here to win and not compete. We came to dominate, not compete," Sanders said.
Sanders saved his strongest warning for last, telling his players he won't tolerate them partaking in any smoking this week.
"Last but not least, If I smell smoke on any floor, or somebody tells me you're smoking on that floor, that will be your last puff," Sanders continued.
"I'm just trying to tell you – it will be your last puff. That's gonna be your last puff. I hope it was good because that's gonna be your last one. I promise you, if I smell smoke on your clothes at practice in the morning, at breakfast, at anything, that's gonna be your last time."
Hopefully, all the Buffaloes will heed Deion's words through kickoff.
The Alamo Bowl is one of a whopping eight bowl games on tap for Saturday. Colorado and BYU will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
It will be the final time fans get to see Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter in a Colorado uniform before the two head to the NFL.
