Metro Nashville police officers are reportedly investigating near the Tennessee Titans' Nissan Stadium this week after the discovery of a body on the property.

According to multiple reports, the dead body was found inside a tent near Lot M of the stadium's parking lot. According to an initial investigation from police the man was homeless and those who knew him were attempting to find suitable housing for him.

Here's more information, via NewsChannel5:

A spokesperson with the Metro Nashville Police Department clarified to NewsChannel 5 that the body wasn't wrapped in a tarp, but there was a tarp covering found near the body.

No foul play is suspected, police said. Police said the person who died was an unhoused man who hadn't been seen for a couple of days. Those who knew him were attempting to locate him.

Earlier this year the Titans approved major renovations to the stadium. Construction teams broke ground earlier this offseason and the stadium has been under renovation since.

Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased.
