Dak Prescott Had Telling Reaction To Cowboys' Awful Fake Punt
Today at 09:29 PM
Dak Prescott wasn't enjoying the start of Monday night's game.
Officially placed on the injured reserve with a season-ending hamstring issue, the quarterback watched the Dallas Cowboys play the Houston Texans from a booth inside AT&T Stadium. He witnessed his team unsuccessfully dial up a trick play on their opening drive.
Facing a 4th-and-9 from their own 33, Bryan Anger faked a punt and completed a pass to safety Juanyeh Thomas. However, Thomas gained just four yards before getting immediately walloped by Texans wide receiver John Metchie III.

The ESPN broadcast caught Prescott reacting like many Cowboys fans likely did in Arlington and at home. Prescott leaned back in his chair and placed both hands over his hand.

Malik Hooker quickly gave Prescott a reason to celebrate when picking off C.J. Stroud on the ensuing drive. However, Cooper Rush promptly gave the ball back to Houston with his own interception.
The Texans jumped to a 14-0 lead, but Rush opened the second quarter by throwing a 64-yard touchdown pass to KaVontae Turpin. That's already 19 more passing yards than the 30-year-old understudy tallied in place of Prescott in a Week 10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Earlier this month, Prescott appeared to give an unflattering review of his team's performance amid a 27-21 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. It could be a rough couple of months for him and Cowboys fans watching them conclude a nightmarish season.
Entering the season with championship aspirations, the Cowboys are likely playing for draft positioning. They entered Monday night at 3-6 with four straight losses.
It'll be hard for NFL fans to avoid them, as they host the New York Giants on Thanksgiving and return to Monday Night Football for a Week 14 game that ESPN can't flex because of a Simpsons-themed alternative broadcast.
Down 17-7, the Cowboys haven't mustered much offense beyond the big touchdown. Loyal fans can watch the rest of the game on ESPN or ABC.
