Marquette's 2023-24 season came to an end Friday night with a loss to NC State in the Sweet 16.

The Golden Eagles got off to a slow start against the Wolfpack, trailing 37-24 at halftime. They tried their best to close the gap in the second half, but it just wasn't enough.

Following the loss to NC State, Marquette guard Tyler Kolek was spotted walking to the locker room with a ripped jersey. The 2023 Big East Player of the Year had tears in his eyes.

A video of Kolek's postgame reaction went viral on social media. As you'd expect, most fans feel terrible for him.

Kolek opened up about Marquette's loss to NC State during his postgame press conference. He was understandably upset about his college career coming to an end.

"We [Ighodaro and I] came in with Coach, we were his first couple recruits," Kolek said. "First people that he's retained, first recruiting class that he brought in. We built a lot at this school. Just to see it end now is tough."

Kolek had yet another incredible season at Marquette, averaging 15.3 points, 7.7 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game.

Marquette fans will certainly miss watching Kolek on the hardwood.
