Meet The Jeopardy Contestant Who Americans Have Fallen In Love With (1:18)

Chris Christie, the longtime New Jersey politician, is a big-time football fan.

The former Governor of New Jersey has attended several Dallas Cowboys games as a guest of owner Jerry Jones. Even though Christie is a New Jersey resident, he, like much of America, grew up rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. He's been in attendance at some major games over the years, including a couple of playoff wins. But Christie wasn't happy with what he saw last weekend.

Christie ripped Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell for a "classless" move during his team's Week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Christie felt that Campbell was intentionally running up the score against the Cowboys last weekend. The Lions throttled the Cowboys, 47-9, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

"That's Dan Campbell. He's got no class, never has," Christie said on the "Mad Dog Unleashed" radio show with Chris Russo on Thursday. "So, it's fine. Look, Dan Campbell, that's the way he is, and what goes around comes around."

The Lions were clearly out for blood last Sunday and they got it. The Lions have lost some heartbreakers over the years to the Cowboys, especially in Dallas, so perhaps this was payback for that.

Detroit nearly topped Dallas a year ago, but there was a controversial ruling on a two-point conversion attempt, that helped secure the win for Mike McCarthy's team. Many felt that Campbell might have been taking out his frustration from that game on Sunday.

"I just think that it's misdirected," Christie said. "Dan Campbell's angry because the referees got a call wrong in the game a year ago. Well, then you know, run that play on (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell. The Cowboys had nothing to do with the play being called incorrectly. It wasn't a challenge that the Cowboys made. It was the call the referees made.

"The Lions got hurt by it. The Cowboys benefited by it. But now, so because of that, you want to take your, you know, your peak out over that, while you're, you know, beating the hell out of these guys, and rub it in. I don't think that's what pros do, but it's his prerogative. It's the reputation that he'll carry around. And, quite frankly, I think most people think that's his rep now anyway."

Perhaps we'll see the Cowboys taking on the Lions in the playoffs in January.
