CeeDee Lamb Added To Injury Report For Monday Night Football

The Dallas Cowboys have what feels like one last chance to save their 2024 season this Monday as they take on the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. But one of their most important players could be heading into the game at less than 100-percent health.
On Saturday, the Cowboys released their final injury report of the week. The most notable addition to the list was star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who made his debut on it this week by showing up with a back injury. Worse still, the Cowboys have listed Lamb as "questionable" with his injury.
"#Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb was added to the injury report today, as he was limited with a back injury. He's officially questionable," NFL insider Ian Rapoport wrote.
Lamb has been in the midst of one of the least productive seasons of his career, with his catch rate, yards per catch and a number of other stats setting new career-lows. He currently has 59 catches for 681 yards and four touchdowns through nine games. But he also has not missed a game since 2021 and has missed only two in his five-year NFL career.
Lamb might also have a devil of a time getting the ball as often as he wants given the quarterback situation. With Dak Prescott out for the year the Cowboys will be deploying some combination of Cooper Rush, Trey Lance and perhaps a quarterback who isn't even on the roster as they try to finish the season strong.
It wouldn't be the biggest surprise in the world if Lamb started making business decisions either. If and when the Cowboys are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, what point would there be in Lamb risking serious injury at the altar of a doomed season?
Will Lamb play against the Texans this Monday? Can he be a difference-maker to the team's playoff hopes?
