Burglars Stole Sentimental Jersey From Travis Kelce's Mansion

Earlier this week, the NFL community learned that Travis Kelce's house in Leawood, Kansas was burglarized on Oct. 7. This happened before the Kansas City Chiefs took on the New Orleans Saints that night.
According to The U.S. Sun, the people who robbed Kelce's $6 million mansion swiped his first Super Bowl jersey and roughly $100,000 in jewelry. It was previously reported by TMZ that $20,000 in cash was stolen from his place.
Kelce's first Super Bowl appearance came during the 2019 season. The Chiefs defeated the 49ers in the big game, as the All-Pro tight end hauled in six passes for 43 yards and a touchdown.
As of now, Kelce has not yet confirmed this report from The U.S. Sun. We'd have to imagine he's frustrated with how things went down though.
"That was a massive surprise for all of them, as they really never thought it would happen to them," a source told The U.S. Sun. "That was a very, very frustrating moment, and both Kelce and Mahomes got really mad it happened, and that intruders got into their properties that they consider their 'safe-haven' and 'safe place' as they are always under the spotlights and always traveling."
Even though Kelce's privacy was invaded during this break-in, it doesn't sound like he'll be leaving Leawood anytime soon. Instead, he's going to increase the security measures around his house.
"This was a calculated break-in and Taylor and Travis are not taking any chances," an insider told Daily Mail. "The intruders knew exactly when the house would be empty and could easily see that she was at the game he was playing in. They knew how long they had to carry out the robbery based on when the game ended. After the game they stayed at a hotel and since then they have taken drastic measures including a more advanced in-home security system and reinforced locks, etc."
Hopefully, the advanced in-home security system that Kelce has installed keeps him out of harm's way.
Kelce will be on the field this Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Bills in what could be a playoff preview.
