Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown may not be everyone's cup of tea these days with some of his off-field antics, but the man certainly has a heart and has shown as much with his latest gesture.

Following the terrible terrorist attack on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on New Year's Day, 14 people lost their lives and dozens more were wounded. In an effort to help out the families who lost loved ones that day, Brown decided to start a GoFundMe page to raise money for them.

"This has nothing to do with me and everything to do with helping the families who lost their loved ones in New Orleans. I will work with Gofundme to make sure any dollar raised is split between the 14 families who lost their loved ones on January 1st. Prayers," Brown said in his post.

Brown has raised over $21,000 as of writing with two good samaritans putting down over $1,500 each towards his $100,000 goal.

The six-time Pro Bowler also shared a post about it on his personal X account, which has garnered plenty of praise in the comments and reposts.

"Over $21,000 raised so far… Please help the families of the victims," Brown wrote on X.

"Let's keep this going folks," one user declared.

"Thank you!" wrote another.

"God bless you, AB!" a third wrote.

"Doing amazing work, AB!" a fourth replied.

The attack took place in the early hours of January 1 when 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar used a pickup truck to ram into a crowd of people celebrating the new year at around 3 o'clock in the morning. Jabbar got into a shootout with police and was killed at the scene. He reportedly has a flag representing the ISIS terrorist organization in his vehicle.

10 people were reportedly killed at the scene while four more succumbed to injuries later.

We're happy to see that so many people are putting so much time and effort towards helping the victims and their families recover from this terrible tragedy.

While Antonio Brown may not be the person we expected to help out here, we're certainly glad he is.
