A way-too-early preseason Top 25 poll for the 2025 college football season has been released.

The College Football Playoff national championship game is set to be played on Monday evening, January 20. The Ohio State Buckeyes are set to take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

But while there's still one game to be played, a way-too-early preseason Top 25 poll has been released on Monday afternoon, by 247Sports.

A College Football Playoff team no longer in this year's field comes in at No. 1 overall.

Texas, which should be led by five-star quarterback Arch Manning in 2025, comes in at No. 1 overall in the Top 25 rankings from 247Sports' Brad Crawford.

Here's the complete Top 25.

  1. Texas
  2. Ohio State
  3. Georgia
  4. Oregon
  5. Notre Dame
  6. Clemson
  7. Penn State
  8. Alabama
  9. Miami
  10. LSU
  11. SMU
  12. South Carolina
  13. Tennessee
  14. Florida
  15. Arizona State
  16. Kansas State
  17. Ole Miss
  18. Texas A&M
  19. Indiana
  20. Illinois
  21. Michigan
  22. Auburn
  23. Nebraska
  24. Texas Tech
  25. UNLV

Texas should be pretty loaded coming into the 2025 season, especially if Arch Manning lives up to the hype. He played well in replacement duty for Quinn Ewers during the 2024 season. Texas brings in one of the top recruiting classes in the country, as well, and should return a lot of key players.

Ohio State, which could be coming off a national championship game win, will have to replace quarterback Will Howard, but star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith and safety Caleb Downs will be back.

Who are you picking to win it all heading into the 2025 college football regular season?
