A former UFC heavyweight has speculated whether Francis Ngannou could make a major comeback to go head-to-head with the Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall winner.

The idea of ‘The Predator’ fighting either of these two superstars is enough to leave fans positively salivating.

On Saturday night, at the UFC Tampa post-fight press conference, Dana White teased that he had a massive announcement coming that would drive the media ‘crazy’.

Consequently, the MMA community went into meltdown, trying to figure out what the mystery match-up could be.

Brendan Schaub is particularly intrigued to find out who the UFC President is talking about, with the content creator naming the one fight he’d love to see more than any other.

The idea of Francis Ngannou returning to the promotion to go toe-to-toe with the Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall winner would be his dream collision.

In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, the ex-sportsman, said: “Dana said ‘I have some other news’. He goes, ‘It’s going to blow your guys’ minds, you’re going to be running around like chickens with their heads cut off’.

“Here’s the problem with that, because he did this at UFC 300. Remember, he was like, ‘You all are going to get blown away’. I wasn’t blown.

“When I heard that, I was like, ‘What could it be’? The only thing that would blow me is if it’s Francis. Francis is going to fight the winner of Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall. That would blow me.”

Logan Paul could fight Conor McGregor in India

While the return of Ngannou to the UFC would be fantastic for fans, it appears White might be going in another direction.

Conor McGregor recently claimed on social media that he was in negotiations for an exhibition bout with Logan Paul, with Bloody Elbow sources confirming that ‘The Maverick’ has been offered the fight.

MMA Mania later revealed UFC executives were approached about the match-up last Friday. They added that this is indeed the clash White was talking about.
