Les meilleurs moments de rouge et noir contre chaque adversaire

Week 1 – @ Saskatchewan Roughriders

Thursday, June 5th at 9 p.m. ET.

The 2017 season was plenty exciting for the REDBLACKS, but perhaps no game was more thrilling for RNation than their very first visit to the new Mosaic Stadium in Saskatchewan. Ottawa battled the Roughriders to a 33-32 win that October evening, doing so in clutch fashion.

The REDBLACKS trailed by 12 points with under six minutes to play in the fourth quarter, before cutting the lead to five thanks to an 11-yard touchdown pass from Trevor Harris to Greg Ellingson, but with only two and a half minutes left to play, it was going to be tight.

The REDBLACKS' defence got a quick stop, and the offence got back to work. In nine plays, they were down to the goal line, where Ryan Lindley snuck into the endzone, winning the game, and clinching a home playoff game in the process.

Week 2, Week 20 – Vs. Montreal Alouettes

Friday, June 13th at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Saturday, October 25th at 3 p.m. ET.

Back in 2018, the REDBLACKS welcomed one of the biggest names in college football history to TD Place, as they hosted Johnny Manziel and the Montreal Alouettes. The sellout crowd went home happy, as the REDBLACKS sunk their East Division rivals 24-17 on a last-minute touchdown from William Powell.

Trevor Harris was the star quarterback that night, throwing for 487 yards on 44 completions, while the REDBLACKS held Manziel to just 168 yards on 16-for-26 passing.

Week 3 – @ Calgary Stampeders

Saturday, June 21st at 4 p.m. ET.

Jeremiah Masoli led the REDBLACKS into Calgary in 2024 in his first game in about a year. The veteran pivot looked good, Ryquell Armstead was amazing, and the defence flexed their muscles when they needed to, but the game came down to the snap, hold, and kick.

As the clock struck zero, Lewis Ward split the uprights, securing the season sweep over the Stampeders, and another two pivotal points in returning the club to the postseason. It was one of Ward's three walk-off kicks – four if you include a kick to force a tie at the end of overtime – with the other winners coming at home against Hamilton, and on the road in Edmonton.

Week 4 – Vs. Toronto Argonauts

Sunday, June 29th at 7 p.m. ET.

The REDBLACKS have had their fair share of big battles with the Argos over the years, but finding one bigger than the first-ever home game at TD Place is an impossible task. On July 18th, 2014, 24,326 fans packed the stands, eager to see football return to the nation's capital.

Starting the season 0-2, the REDBLACKS looked like what you'd expect out of an expansion team, but on that night, there was some kind of magic surrounding the building, almost like it was destiny that the home side would come away victorious at the end of the night.

Kicker Brett Maher headlined the show, hitting six field goals in the 18-17 win. It's truly one of the foundational moments of the franchise's history.

Week 5 – @ Edmonton Elks

Sunday, July 6th at 7 p.m. ET

We don't have to go too far back to find memorable moments at Commonwealth Stadium. Last season, Dru Brown threw for 480 yards in a thrilling victory, which was capped off by a Lewis Ward walk-off field goal.

Brown went 26 of 38, throwing two touchdowns, one to Justin Hardy down the rail, and one on a short pass to Kalil Pimpleton, with the speedster doing the rest in his first CFL game.

Week 6, Week 21 – @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Saturday, July 12th at 7 p.m. ET, and Friday, October 24th at 7 p.m. ET.

For a handful of years, the REDBLACKS battled the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for East Division supremacy, and in 2018, they locked it up in their rival's house. The long ball was the key to victory for Ottawa, as Trevor Harris hit Diontea Spencer for touchdowns of 24 and 79 yards, while Dominique Davis connected for a 55-yard touchdown with Greg Ellingson.

In the end, the REDBLACKS breezed past the Tabbies for the third time that season, securing the East's top seed, and setting up an East Final for the history books.

Week 7 – Vs. Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Sunday, July 20th at 7 p.m. ET.

On two occasions, the REDBLACKS have hosted the Tiger-Cats in the East Final, both in 2015, and the aforementioned 2018 season. Both times, Ottawa emerged victorious, creating some iconic moments in franchise history.

Of course, fans well remember the 2015 game, which has been coined "The Miracle on Bank Street," thanks to the improbable touchdown on second and very long, when Henry Burris tossed up a prayer to Greg Ellingson, setting up 35-28 win.

The win in 2018 was special not so much for a single moment, but the entire day for Trevor Harris. The yardage totals may not have been anything super special (367 yards passing) but he threw for a playoff-record six touchdowns, sending the REDBLACKS to the Grey Cup as 46-27 winners.

Week 9 – Vs. Calgary Stampeders

Thursday, July 31st at 7:30 p.m. ET.

In 2016 and 2017, both matchups between the REDBLACKS and Stampeders at TD Place needed overtime. Showdowns between Trevor Harris and Bo Levi Mitchell became must-see TV, as two top teams in the league went head to head.

In two consecutive years, the games resulted in a tie, stunning many fans who didn't know that was possible, but it's part of what made an overtime Grey Cup in 2016 even more special.

Week 10 – @ Toronto Argonauts

Saturday, August 9th at 3 p.m. ET.

Admittedly, this is cheating a little bit, because the REDBLACKS didn't play the Toronto Argonauts in the 2016 Grey Cup, but it was at BMO Field, so how do you not include it? It's one of those special moments that fans will never forget, the biggest moment in franchise history to date: winning the 104th Grey Cup.

When REDBLACKS fans think of away games in Toronto, they see scenes of the Ernest Jackson bobble, Abdul Kanneh's shoe-string tackle, and Henry Burris lifting the CFL's greatest prize. They might also think of that cannon, which is somehow a surprise every time it goes off, but that's a different conversation.

Week 11 – @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Thursday, August 14th at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Against a solid Winnipeg Blue Bombers club in 2018, the REDBLACKS marched into hostile territory and ran away with a 44-21 win. Dominique Rhymes had a receiving touchdown, and William Powell and Dominique Davis cleaned up three more combined on the ground.

It was the third win in Winnipeg for the REDBLACKS and still stands as their last win at Princess Auto Stadium.

Week 12 – Vs. Edmonton Elks

Friday, August 22nd at 7:30 p.m. ET.

A snowy TD Place was the scene for the 2016 East Final, when the REDBLACKS cut their way through the flurries en route to a 35-25 win. Greg Ellingson famously did a snow angel on the grass behind the east endzone, and Kienan LaFrance rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown.

This time, the game is on August 22nd, so you likely won't need your snowsuit. Hopefully, at least.

Week 14 – Vs. BC Lions

Friday, September 5th at 7:30 p.m. ET.

All the hype surrounded the BC Lions last season, who had just returned Nathan Rourke to the lineup after an NFL stint the week prior, but that didn't phase the REDBLACKS, who had a point to prove of their own.

Dru Brown went off for 390 yards and three touchdowns, and Nick Mardner caught the first two touchdowns of his CFL career. Making it even more special was all of the alumni in attendance, as the REDBLACKS celebrated their All-Decade game which included an after-party.

Week 15 – @ BC Lions

Friday, September 12th at 10 p.m. ET.

When the REDBLACKS beat the BC Lions in Vancouver in 2015, it was their first win in franchise history on the West Coast, and the first win in the city for an Ottawa football team since 1990.

Chris Milo booted five field goals, Jeremiah Johnson rushed for a pair of second-half touchdowns, and Jovon Johnson picked off John Beck – who made his first CFL start in place of an injured Travis Lulay – to ice the game in the fourth quarter.

Week 16 – Vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers

Saturday, September 20th at 3 p.m. ET.

Going into their Week 6 meeting with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2023, no one gave the REDBLACKS a chance. The quarterback position was a revolving door. Jeremiah Masoli, Nick Arbuckle, and Tyrie Adams were all dealing with injuries, forcing the REDBLACKS to roll with Dustin Crum, their fourth-string quarterback.

Down 25-6, it seemed as if the doubters were right, but out of left field, the REDBLACKS began storming back. A field goal, a Brandin Dandridge pick-six and a successful two-point conversion set the stage for a final drive, with the game on the line.

Crum led a long drive, before finishing it with his legs, before a two-point conversion tied the game.

In overtime, the Bombers settled for a field goal in their opening possession, and Crum took the field one more time. A 29-yard scamper and a touchdown sent the Ottawa bench into euphoria, as they rushed the field to celebrate what was coined "The Crumback."

Week 18 – Vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders

Friday, October 3rd at 7:30 p.m. ET

The REDBLACKS moved to 2-0 in the 2019 season in one of the more entertaining games across the entire league all year long, taking down the Saskatchewan Roughriders on home turf 44-41. Dominique Davis and Cody Fajardo both played near-flawless football, combining for 714 yards and five touchdowns.

The Riders scored five touchdowns, while the REDBLACKS had three, but Lewis Ward was automatic, hitting all six of his field goal opportunities, capping off one of the most offensively explosive games to be held at TD Place to date.

Week 19 – @ Montreal Alouettes

Monday, October 13th at 1 p.m. ET.

In 2019, DeVonte Dedmon put the CFL on notice with a multi-touchdown game in Montreal, which aided the REDBLACKS to their third win of the season. Down early, the largely unknown return man took off on the ensuing kickoff, taking it 111 yards back for the major.

In the second quarter, it happened once again, this time a 95-yard punt return for a touchdown. All told, Dedmon compiled 382 all-purpose yards between kickoff, punt, and missed field goal returns, sparking what has thus far been a special career.
