Welcome to another eWrestlingNews Question of the Day!

Solo Sikoa lost to Roman Reigns this past Monday night on Raw’s Netflix debut. As per Tribal Combat rules, he has relinquished the ula fala, which was presented back to Roman Reigns, and The Original Tribal Chief is now just back to being The Tribal Chief.

With even The Rock just embracing Reigns, it seems as though this storyline is over and done with. So what should happen next with Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa?

My question for you today is “What do you think is going to happen with The New Bloodline? What would you do if you were on WWE Creative?”

Remember to answer with your response in the comments below.

As far as my answer…

I’ll be blunt to start off. With the way The Rock just tossed aside his whole storyline with Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns and effectively ended those two feuds, I don’t think there’s any logical way to stretch this saga out until WWE can revisit it, bounce back from it to just reverse time and say “never mind” with a retcon, or pretty much any way to do this without it coming across stupid.

At this point, I’m resigning myself to the idea that we’re just not going to get the type of match(es) we thought we were going to get, let alone what we deserve for having waited 10+ years for this dream match to happen. For one reason or another, it’s either always going to be put on hold, or it’s going to end up being so half-assed and schlocked together in a roundabout way that it’ll suck and will never live up to the hype.

With that in mind, I’m basically done hoping for any of this to come back around to ANY more Bloodline Civil War type stuff, and that goes especially for trying to continue the feud between Reigns and Sikoa as a placeholder for Reigns vs. Rock. Sikoa’s already lost the most definitive match he could in this story, we’ve seen everyone fight each other except Reigns/Rock and have to put that on hold for seemingly a full year if not longer, and there just isn’t enough juice left.

Normally, I would say the logical next step would have been (had The Rock not done what he did) that Sikoa would turn babyface and rejoin Roman’s brigade while Jacob Fatu would prove to be the next in the line of succession, operating under The Rock’s leadership alongside Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and I’d have then brought in Hikuleo and Lance Anoa’i. But again, even if The Rock were to have not thrown this all away, I don’t think that has enough legs to last 6 months, let alone a full year or two, as we’ve already seen Jacob Fatu against everyone except Solo!

Part of me thinks WWE should just disband everything Bloodline related and call it a day. Let The Usos team back up if they want to, and if not, let them have their own singles runs to varying degrees of success (ideally on separate brands), or have Jimmy team up with Solo, or anything of that sort. Someone like Fatu could just be a damn entertaining midcarder working his way up the hierarchy by having fun matches.

Another part of me says Sikoa, Fatu, Tonga and Loa should all pledge their allegiance to Reigns and we should have a super group of the full Bloodline in tact, but I don’t know who they could realistically feud with, and there’s a danger of that being too much to handle (a la nWo becoming too big)

Frankly, there’s even part of me that thinks this would be a good time to institute a Trios Tag Team Championship. We’ve got The Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Hikuleo), The Usos with Solo Sikoa, and both Roman and Jacob can just do their own things. After all, there are other trios teams that could be options for these belts like American Made, The Judgment Day, The D’Angelo Family, The Final Testament, LWO, Legado del Fantasma, The Wyatt Sicks, No Quarter Catch Crew, Gallus, and others that can be formed by just adding one person to an already established duo or creating a new trio out of thin air. But does WWE really need ANOTHER championship?!

As is frequently the case with all of this, we don’t know what WWE has waiting in the wings. But without that information, flying blind, I can’t think of anything worthwhile for Solo’s crew to do heading into WrestleMania season as a unit. If you pitched me that they fight The Wyatt Sicks, for example, I’ll roll my eyes and say I don’t care about that group of spooky do-nothings. It’s not my preferred answer, but I’d honestly suggest maybe just sitting them on the shelf for a bit until some plans arise. In the meantime, there are plenty other people who can step into the spotlight, particularly with the “transfer window” not yet moving anyone officially over to any roster.

What a lame response: do nothing with them. But WWE has set up a problem that I can’t think of a solution to that I’m satisfied with, and unless I were privy to at least some of their upcoming plans, it’s like putting a puzzle together when you can’t see the picture for context and you’re not even sure if you have all the necessary pieces.

What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
