Trios Match Added & More Updates to AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2024 Card

Scissor Ace is coming as Hiroshi Tanahashi has been booked for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door among other updates to the card.
The Acclaimed cut a promo on AEW Dynamite (6/26/2024) trashing The Young Bucks, only to be interrupted by The Elite, who challenged them to a trios match. Billy Gunn, however, presented another alternative, having spoken to someone to replace him in the match.
That person ended up being Hiroshi Tanahashi, who will team with Max Caster and Anthony Bowens against Kazuchika Okada, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson on the show.

The Learning Tree also addressed their trios match against Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata and HOOK by saying Bryan Keith is not cleared to compete and they would be replacing him in the match.
However, they didn’t bother to watch a video ahead of time of what they thought was Minoru Suzuki agreeing to be their tag team partner. Instead, Suzuki said he hates the “soft way” Jericho has been acting as of late and wants nothing to do with The Learning Tree. Instead, he wants to face Jericho, one-on-one, for the FTW Championship.
That segment was left open-ended with the information that Keith will likely be replaced, but who will fill that spot has yet to be announced.
