Trick Williams is ready to put his NXT Championship on the line against all-comers, even if those challengers are a part of TNA Wrestling.
Williams is in his second reign as NXT Champion after dethroning Ethan Page during the debut episode of WWE NXT on The CW in Chicago.
On a recent edition of the “In The Kliq” podcast, Williams said that if the possibility is real, he’d be willing to defend against TNA talent. He said,
“It’s cool. All opponents are welcome. I’m not threatened by anybody who wants the opportunity [to] take a chance at this title… It makes for a better show. If it’s what the people want to see, then let’s make it happen.”
WWE NXT has aligned with TNA in 2024 with talent including Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, The Rascalz, and Rosemary appearing for the silver brand.
Conversely, TNA has welcomed NXT talent including Wendy Choo, Sol Ruca, and the No Quarter Catch Crew during episodes of iMPACT and pay-per-views.
On this week’s NXT, Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase to become the next challenger for Williams in a match that also marked the end of Chase U.
