WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long was left in a hard situation after being caught selling Viagra to talent during the WWE’s Attitude Era.
At the time, Long was working as a referee in the company, and wouldn’t become SmackDown’s General Manager until 2004.
On a recent edition of The Undertaker’s “Six Feet Under” podcast, Long recalled being sent to wrestler’s court over the infraction. He said,
“I ended up having to go to wrestlers court for selling Viagra to the boys. They serve me papers to come to court, I got no lawyer so I end up finding Mae Young. I almost had him, then Mae Young screwed up and called Viagra, ‘Niagara,’ so that’s what got me sentenced. ‘Taker sentenced me to buy chicken and beer for about a month for JBL and somebody else. So I had to buy Kentucky Fried Chicken and beer for about a month.”
Long was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017 and continues to make sporadic appearances for the promotion to this day.
Teddy Long recently shared who he’d like to see Bobby Lashley face now that the All Mighty is in AEW. Click here to find out more.
