Taz Attacked In Parking Lot Before AEW Dynamite, Nigel McGuinness Fills In On Commentary

At the start of the fifth anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite, Excalibur introduced the commentary team for tonight’s episode and quickly mentioned that Nigel McGuinness would be filling in for Taz, with more details on that coming later in the show.
Earlier in the night, prior to Dynamite airing, a tweet was put out by AEW saying Taz had been “attacked in the parking lot” and was being treated by doctors.
This afternoon @OfficialTAZ was attacked in the parking lot and cannot announce Tonight's #AEWDynamite 5th Anniversary.
Taz is being treated by doctors, @McGuinnessNigel is en route to Pittsburgh & will call tonight's episode.

During the bout between Juice Robinson and “Hangman” Adam Page, Excalibur elaborated on this by saying Taz had mentioned his knee was in “really bad shape” but did not clarify who the mysterious attackers were.
