Spoiler-Free Lineup For Next Week's WWE SmackDown (12/20/2024)

Next week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is being taped in advance tonight, and we will have a spoiler breakdown of what those results are, but if you are interested in the official rundown of what has been announced without spoilers, we’ve got you covered in that way, too!
Announced for the December 20, 2024 edition of SmackDown isn’t anything that spoils what happens at Saturday Night’s Main Event, but just follows up on some generic stuff from tonight’s SmackDown.
Nick Aldis had a backstage segment where he told Bianca Belair that since Jade Cargill’s injury is not progressing any further, he’ll have to probably strip them of the tag team titles. Naomi then volunteered to take Cargill’s spot, and eventually, Aldis agreed. Later on, Candice LeRae approached Nia Jax backstage and informed her that she had spoken to Aldis and got them booked in a tag title match for next week, at least in part in an attempt to belittle Tiffany Stratton and push her further out of Jax’s grace.
LA Knight’s match with Solo Sikoa ended in a disqualification due to interference from Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu. Apollo Crews and Andrade tried to help out Knight, but all three were beaten down by The Bloodline. This set up a six-man tag team match.
After Braun Strowman squashed Carmelo Hayes, he was approached backstage by Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, who invited him to be on The Grayson Waller Effect.
Finally, as a result of Johnny Gargano’s heel turn and #DIY winning the WWE Tag Team Championship from Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley challenged Gargano to a match.
This brings the lineup for next week’s episode of WWE SmackDown to the following:
- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Bianca Belair and Naomi (c) vs. Nia Jax and Candice LeRae
- Grayson Waller Effect with Braun Strowman
- Alex Shelley vs. Johnny Gargano
- Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga) vs LA Knight, Andrade and Apollo Crews
