Sheamus Beats Ludwig Kaiser, Possibly Earns Intercontinental Title Shot

On a night set to determine the inaugural women’s intercontinental champion, the men’s WWE Intercontinental Championship also had some share of the spotlight as it seems we have a new No. 1 contender for Bron Breakker’s title.
On the January 13, 2025 edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, Sheamus defeated Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall in a match that wasn’t designated a true No. 1 contender’s match, but the commentary team made a point to allude to it, stating that the winner would be likely in line for a title opportunity.
Breakker, who was ringside watching the match in the crowd, ended up getting into a shout fest face-to-face with The Celtic Warrior, who is still seeking to check the Intercontinental Championship off his list as the one title keeping him away from being a Grand Slam Champion in WWE.
WWE has yet to make this match official, as well as when and where that will happen, but if that is announced at some point tonight, this post will be updated to reflect that new information.
