WWE has recently released several talents, some of whom were long-standing roster members, leading to speculation about a potential shift in the company’s talent release strategy going forward.

Notable releases this year include Xyon Quinn, Xia Li, Jinder Mahal, Von Wagner, and Cameron Grimes. The trend continues with talents such as Ezekiel Balogun, Julian Baldi, Trey Bearhill, Emmamaria Diaz, Valentina Feroz, Drew Gulak, Keyshawn Leflore, Darrell Mason, Vlad Pavlenko, and Kiyah Saint. Of particular note is Dijak’s release on June 28th, which came without prior notification and shocked many fans.

Fightful Select has shared additional information on Dijak’s departure and the potential shift in the WWE’s approach to informing talent about their release.

Many within WWE were surprised by Dijak’s sudden release and hoped this was an isolated incident. In fact, Drew Gulak, Reggie, and Sarray were given advance notice of their releases, suggesting that Dijak’s situation needed to align with the norm.

Despite ongoing contract discussions, the lack of advance notification given to Dijak regarding his release has raised concerns within WWE about handling future talent releases.

The report states, "People in WWE were hoping it's an anomaly because he was informed in very short order. Drew Gulak was expected to be re-signed before a lot of the stuff unfolded. He was notified [Gulak] well ahead of time from what I understand. Reggie, Scrypts, he was notified well ahead of time. Dijak was not. Not only that, he engaged them in potential contract talks so yeah, this is not something a lot of people are happy about and hope it's not the norm moving forward."

It remains to be seen whether Dijak’s release was an anomaly or indicative of a potential change in the company’s approach to talent management.
