WWE may have no choice but to take action regarding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships given Jade Cargill’s recent injury.

On last week’s SmackDown, Cargill was found attacked in the parking lot, prompting Bianca Belair to abandon her match to check on her.

It has been reported that Cargill is dealing with a real injury and while details are scarce, she will need three months or more to recover.

During a recent Wrestle Votes Backstage Pass Q&A, it was reported that the current word backstage is that Belair and Cargill will be stripped of the titles.

This isn’t the first time the titles have been vacated as Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez gave up the gold in 2023 as Liv was injured.

That same year, Sonya Deville went down with an injury but Chelsea Green was allowed to keep the titles with new partner Piper Niven.

These issues, alongside Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out as champions, have led some fans to claim that the titles, introduced in 2019, are ‘cursed.’

Belair and Cargill are in their second reign as Women’s Tag Team Champions are winning the titles from the Unholy Union at Bash In Berlin.
