Kevin Nash Claims Mercedes Mone Is 'Phoning It In' In AEW

Mercedes Mone has been a part of AEW for over a year now, but the reigning TBS Champion is ‘phoning it in’ according to Kevin Nash.
Mone debuted during the ‘Big Business’ episode of AEW Dynamite in March 2024. She captured the TBS title in May during her debut match.
On a recent edition of his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash took issue with Mone’s work in AEW, especially compared to her WWE NXT tenure. He said,
“Sasha, whatever her name is now, CEO. She was the third [match.] So I watched her match, and man—she's phoning her sh*t in big time. That's not the same girl I watched tearing it out in the house in Brooklyn with Bayley."
The match Nash is referring to is the Sasha Banks Vs. Bayley bout from WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2015 where Bayley won the NXT Women’s Title.
A decade later, the match is still considered to be one of the best matches in the career of both women, and one of WWE’s best women’s matches.
