Following Saturday night’s All Out 2024 pay-per-view event at the NOW Arena in Chicago, IL, it has been reported that AEW will be missing two top stars.

The event featured a singles match between Daniel Garcia and MJF, which concluded with MJF executing a low blow that went unnoticed by the referee, allowing him to secure the victory with a jackknife.

Following the match, Garcia shook MJF’s hand and executed a low blow of his own, followed by a second rope piledrive, resulting in MJF being stretchered out.

The Unsanctioned Steel Cage Match between Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page headlined the show. The finish saw Page use a needle to stab Strickland in the mouth and knock him out with a chair shot to the head to secure the victory.

The medical team also checked on Strickland after the match.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that both MJF and Strickland are taking time off.

Meltzer said, "He's gone. He's taking time off. I mean, why wouldn't he lose?"

Bryan Alvarez said, "Because he almost never loses, much less twice in a row."

Meltzer continued, "He's taking time off, but he didn't lose. He ended up getting taken out. And it's an injury angle, and he's gonna be gone for a while. Him and Swerve did injury angles and are gonna be gone."

Alvarez noted, "Yeah, Swerve should be out for a while after that match, I would think."

Meltzer added, "Yeah, both are. That's what I heard anyway. I mean, I heard a long time ago that Swerve was going to sign the contract and he was going to get some time off for whatever reason. And  this was the angle."
