Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling will hold a 20-man Gauntlet Match to crown a new Canadian Champion at the MLP Northern Rising event on May 10 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (formerly Maple Leaf Gardens). The event will be live on TrillerTV.
Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling has yet to announce the competitors for the gauntlet match.
On March 8, 1979, it was Greg Valentine, son of longtime Maple Leaf veteran Johnny Valentine, who ended Dino Bravo's first reign as Canadian Heavyweight Champion. Pro Wrestling NOAH announced a marquee match for the GHC Heavyweight Championship at NOAH Memorial Voyage 2025.
Former champion KENTA will challenge reigning champion OZAWA for the title on May 5, 2025.
