EC3 feels somewhat sad about fans who fall victim to scammers impersonating wrestling stars but believes it’s hard to have a ton of sympathy.

Scammers often use the names and images of wrestlers to dupe unsuspecting fans out of money and gift cards, with Alexa Bliss’ likeness often being used.

On a recent edition of the “Wrestling Outlaws” podcast, EC3 shared his thoughts on fans who fall for the messages from fake accounts. He said,

“If someone is stupid enough to give you money, take it because if you don’t, someone else will. I mean so obviously, over 625 million dollars of people falling for these scams, it’s sad. It’s unfortunate, but how much empathy can you give someone when this, like you fall for it, and that’s just like, unfortunately… I don’t know.”

Bliss herself has repeatedly warned fans against scammers, making clear she would never randomly send a DM asking for money or other valuables.

Earlier this month, it was reported that a man had given $1 million to a scammer impersonating Bliss, as well as his grandaughter’s college fund.

Despite the man repeatedly being warned of scammers by his family, he continued to give until passing away earlier this year.
