Drew McIntyre Calls Out Batista For WWE Return

Drew McIntyre is excited to face off against Batista (Dave Bautista), his co-star in the upcoming movie The Killer’s Game.

Even though Batista has retired from professional wrestling, the chance of a potential return is plausible, considering that Paul “Triple H” Levesque, a close friend of the Hollywood, now heads the WWE Creative.

In The Killer’s Game, McIntyre co-stars with Batista as an assassin assigned to eliminate the latter’s character. The movie, which includes an intense fight scene between the two, is scheduled for release in theaters on September 13, 2024.

During McIntyre’s early career in WWE, Batista had already left the company, which means they never had the opportunity to compete against each other.

In a recent interview with Comicbook, McIntyre expressed optimism about the possibility of having an actual wrestling match with Batista rather than just their on-screen fight.

McIntyre said, "I hope not. I mean, the fight itself was a lot of fun and I was disappointed during my time in WWE when Dave was there. I kind of grew up around him in my early 20s. He was such a big star. Obviously, at the time, his peak of his career, we never had that singles match. So it's fun to get to fight with no restrictions. You can kill people in movies. But I am very up for it, obviously. It's in Dave's court. I said this earlier, I'm not saying that Dave's chicken if he doesn't accept the match, but he's definitely something that's another word for a cat."

Batista was set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2020, but the ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When the 2020 and 2021 classes were inducted together, the Hollywood star could not attend due to his busy schedule.
